Senior Accounting Technician
Job Description
Vortex Strategy & Recruitment is actively seeking a Senior Accounting Technician for our client, a fast-growing Quebec-based company located in Brossard operating in the health and wellness sector.
As a Senior Accounting Technician, you will play a key role in managing accounting operations for a multi-company group. You will be involved in the full accounting cycle and will actively contribute to the quality and efficiency of the department.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Participate in the full accounting cycle within a multi-entity environment;
Perform accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end processes;
Manage credit card transactions and bank statements;
Ensure follow-up and communication with certain suppliers;
Participate in intercompany billing processes;
Analyze transactions and make necessary corrections;
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes;
Collaborate with the team to ensure the quality and reliability of financial information;
Handle various related tasks as needed.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting technician role;
Experience in a multi-company environment (essential);
Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle;
Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously;
Good command of Excel (intermediate level);
Knowledge of software such as Avantage or Odoo (an asset);
Excellent communication skills (French and English);
Thoroughness, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills;
Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities;
Resourcefulness and autonomy;
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
Team spirit and positive attitude.
