Vortex Strategy & Recruitment is actively seeking a Director of Operations & Performance for its client, a fast-growing digital creative agency.
Our client supports large-scale accounts by combining strategy, digital platforms, content creation, and hyper-targeted media.
The selected candidate will represent a creative and technology-driven agency that builds high-impact experiences and, through its new AI research lab, transforms innovation into tangible competitive advantages: agentic AI products, operational optimization, and new ways of creating value.

We are looking for an individual capable of bringing method, rigor, and clarity to execution, while supporting financial performance and team engagement.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the shareholders, the Director of Operations & Performance actively contributes to structuring the organization and improving overall performance.
Improve internal processes
Support resource planning and management
Monitor project and account profitability
Structure tools and working methods
Help maintain a high-performing and engaging work environment
Operational Performance
Oversee project management and ensure timelines and budgets are met
Optimize delivery processes (brief, planning, execution, follow-up)
Improve coordination between teams
Implement simple and effective tools to structure work
Participate in resource planning and capacity monitoring
Financial Performance
Participate in budget tracking and profitability analysis by project and by client
Contribute to margin optimization
Implement clear performance indicators
Support the preparation of budget forecasts
Organizational Structure & HR
Help clarify roles and responsibilities
Support employee evaluation and development processes
Participate in recruitment based on growth needs
Maintain structured and consistent HR practices
Administration & Tools
Oversee certain key administrative processes (expense tracking, compliance, contracts)
Optimize internal tools (project management, financial tracking, documentation)
Standardize practices to improve efficiency
Approve timesheets and coordinate payroll approvals
Requirements
5 to 8 years of experience in a related role (operations, project management, performance, or strategic management)
Agency or professional services environment experience (strong asset)
Strong understanding of financial concepts (budgets, margins, profitability)
Experience in process optimization
Mobilizing leadership and a structured approach
Ability to work in a growing environment
Excellent organizational skills and strong sense of priorities
