Job Description
Vortex Strategy & Recruitment is actively seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant/Technician for our client, a growing law firm based in Laval.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Preparation, drafting, and updating of resolutions, corporate records, and minute books.
Incorporation, organization, merger, dissolution, and annual updating of corporations.
Preparation of filings with the Registraire des entreprises and other government authorities.
Monitoring changes to corporate records: share transfers, updates to directors, statutory amendments, agreements, etc.
Preparation of closing books.
Participation in the organization and follow-up of commercial transactions.
Assisting with business sales or acquisitions (due diligence, preliminary documents, checklists).
Preparation of various draft contractual documents as required by the lawyers.
Proactive management of deadlines and coordination among stakeholders.
Electronic file management, structured filing, and updating of records.
Professional communication with clients and institutions.
Close collaboration with the team and participation in the continuous improvement of internal processes.
Requirements
DEP in Legal Secretarial Studies, DEC in Paralegal Technology, or equivalent training.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate or business law as an assistant or paralegal in a law firm.
Excellent command of written French; strong drafting skills.
High level of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Professional attitude, discretion, and team spirit.
Proficiency with standard computer tools; corporate software (an asset)
