Vortex Strategy & Recruitment is actively seeking an Administrative / Legal Assistant for its client, a boutique law firm based in Laval.

Reporting to the two partners of the firm, you will provide administrative support to their respective practices. Prior experience in the legal field is not required for this role.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the firm’s professionals;

  • File opening and closing;

  • Billing and payment follow-ups;

  • Maintain various calendars: court dates, electronic calendar, and deadlines to ensure timely filings;

  • Prepare various correspondence and emails with clients, lawyers, courts, etc.;

  • Document and file management and organization;

  • Mail management;

  • Monitor lawyers’ email inboxes;

  • Perform any other related tasks supporting the professionals’ practice and office operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant and/or administrative assistant;

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a legal assistant and/or administrative assistant;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;

  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality;

  • Bilingualism (spoken and written French and English) is considered an asset;

  • Excellent writing skills in French;

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent priority management;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Outlook 365, and TEAMS is essential.
